Hi,
I meet a new installed Smoke 2016 startup issue on my new Mac Pro
At beginning, I clicked create project, the color ball always ran about one minute, then pop-up following message:
ERROR MESSAGE
PROJECT: Error when opening archive: API Request timed out
After several times testing, I created a project, but when I press START button, the color ball ran for another minutes again and got the following message:
Error Message
PROJECT: Error when opening archive: connect refused.
I have tried to restart computer, and restart all the service in service monitor and got green light.
I also checked backburner service by login localhost/Backburner and looks OK.
And I am using Ethernet with customer setting for IP, no wireless or DHCP using.
Does any one know what are those error messages mean and what can I do for the next step?
My Mac Pro Spec is
Mac Pro (Late of 2013)
OS 10.10.5
CPU 3.7G Quard-Core Intel Xeon E5
RAM 12GB
VGA card AMD FirePro D300 2048MB
Thank you

We cant change names of the workstations, as they are in a "bigger" env.

Hi,
Is this on El Capitan? Does it sometimes work after restarting stone+wire or rebooting? It could a port conflict with airplay.
You can type the following in a terminal to see.
lsof -Pni | grep 7000
If you see AIRPLAY in the output, then that is the problem. Stone+Wire uses port 7000.
You can then disable airplay and also make sure the check box "Show Mirroring options in the menu bar wherever possible" is not checked in the System preferences/displays.
cheers
Jason
Well. no Airplay
VES15-BA23-ONLINE1-MacproB:~ andreas.aanerud$ lsof -Pni | grep 7000
VES15-BA23-ONLINE1-MacproB:~ andreas.aanerud$
Yes it´s on El-Capitan, 10.11.3 (15D21)
Funny thing, when rebooting several times, then suddenly it works 😃
We did some clean installations today, and the problem is back.

Is it possible to get StoneWire to use localhost instead of the machine name ?
