Smoke 2015 not importing XML

I just got a Premiere Pro Project to finish from a client. I tried exporting an XML to send it to Smoke, but Smoke won't import the XML. It says it's not valid. But when I import to any other finishing application, it's fine. I really want to use Smoke for this project, but I just can't get it started.

Hi,

Smoke only supports XMLs and AAFs coming from Final Cut Pro and Avid.

We do not officially support AAFs or XMLs coming from Adobe Premiere Pro.

Adobe put their own "secret" sauce and formatting into the files that Smoke can't read and this is why we only support certain variations.

The only workaround is to import the XML into FCP and re-export as a XML.

FCP will strip out the "non-standard" code and the new XML should import into Smoke.

Regards
Grant
