Shapes in Flame paint tool

How do I create shapes like circle and rectangle in Flame paint tool?  The user guide points me to buttons that don't exist...

Paint as a Batch node is different than Paint as a module in the Tools tab.

Fun, eh!?

Hello,

Here's what you can do:

1. Go to the Paint tool available from the Tools tab

2. On the left side of the Interface, select Graphics instead of Paint

>>> The Brush selection widget on the right side should now present a Shape Selection widget

3. Click on the Shape you want to add

4. Click and drag in the Viewport

Thanks Warren.  So the action node [paint] is different than the tool tab [paint]?   What's up with that?

One is fast as **** but doesn't work in batch.

One can be modified in batch, and worked on ad nauseum until someone releases you from versioning hell.

& some other bits & bit depths, which if you don't know now, you probably wont miss...

So am I to understand that the batch node paint tool is raster based and therefore not editable, while the tool tab paint is vector based, and therefore has the geometry shapes and can be edited after creation?

i think its the other way round , so when u hit spacebar on desktop/tools paint it rasterises your paint strokes and the edges are anti aliased. In batch you can swap inputs for the bg or any layer and the strokes are saved in the setup. Paint in desktop / tools cannot be saved/edited afterwards.

the batch paint doesnt have as many features as the desk/tools paint such as the whole geometery tab.
