Moving grids or wireframes through 3D objects

Hi all,

I'm looking at the possibilities of making grids moving across 3D objects like toruses (tori?) and ext bicubics to get kinda oldschool vector like effects. Slightly inspired by Hitchcock's Vertigo titles.

Using grids on diffuse map isn't looking great, with some artifacts where lines cross.

Changing the object to wireframe looks great, but I don't suppose there's some clever way to get the wireframe to animate across the surface is there? So the grid changes in some way?

I guess not, as it's representing the object not the diffuse, but I thought they might be some trick to this.

Any tips?

Sorry, scrap that.

It works fine.

Wireframe is great on BiCubics, and a grid feed works on BiCubics and Objects, I had a matte on where it shouldn't have been and needed to tweak the UV maps and resolution.

Cheers
