Match Frame duplicates clip in library

Smoke 2015 - When I match frame while in a sequence it opens up the source clip and selects it in the library... BUT it actually duplicates the clip in the library.. as if it's not aware its already there and thinks its showing me the clip. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks!

J

Hi,

Try doing a reveal frame as opposed to a match frame.

Reveal frame will reveal the clip in the library.

Match frame will create a duplicate clip and match it to the frame you are parked on.

This goes back to the older days where we would match shots out of the sequence do apply effects work on them. However since everything is now in the sequence, this is not necessary but some still use this feature.

Hope this helps.

Regards
Grant
