Importing Red Dragon 6k in smoke

Hi Team,

       1. Does smoke 2013, 2015 supports RED DRAGON 6k files .

       2. Can we work with the RAW file directly in smoke.

I have a project to work with RED DRAGON 6k.

Hi,

I am working with Smoke RED Dragon 6K material.

The current version of Smoke 2015 works with this material.

The only thing I have noticed is that if you set it to full debayer, you might see some corruption if you don't set the bit depth to 16 bit float as opposed to 12-bit integer. This is format specific settings in the MediaHub.

And ensure your hardware is good enough to handle the material at 6K resolution.

Hope this helps.

Regards
Grant

Hi Grant ,

I am using NewMacpro 6core . please find the attachment of my settings of R3D in smoke 2015 & my source is invalid .

Kindly send the needed hardware spec to work with 6k RAW File.

Hi,

I do not think it is a hardware issue since I am using a macbook pro for most of my work running 10.8.5.

I have 16BG of DDR3 RAM and I have an intel HD  graphics 4000 card with 512mb.

For you it could either be the OS or the Smoke install.

I would also suggest checking the permissions on the folders to ensure that Smoke can read the metadata properly from your files.

Regards

Grant
