Format of <Date>

Is ther a way to change the format used when an actual date is substituted for the date token. For example, today is December 14, 2012. So, if I use a date token in my output, I get
12-12-14
I'm honestly not sure which 12 is which, but let's assume it's YY-MM-DD
That's OK, but I would prefer YYYY-MM-DD, so that I get
2012-12-14

Can that be set anywhere?

Thanks

(FYI, This is Composite 2012, if the answer varies by version)
