I found this post via google and was reading it.

 

I was wondering if the explanations given are valid still or not.

The article was written by Alexei Godek who is a very knowledgeable person.

 

Although the general tone of the article is harsh, the information you can find in it is still factual and accurate (apart for few things that changed over the latest releases).
