5k iMac

Haven't seen too many posts from people running Smoke on the new iMac 5k?  There was a post a while ago which seemed to indicate that the interface didn't scale up very well, and that there were issues with the new graphics cards.

Just wondering, now that that machine has been out for a few months, if there are any others out there that can attest to whether or not it works and if so, how well?

Thanks.

I asked the same question on the Logik forum at Facebook and the only bad piece was on hardware antialiasing. Aside from that everyone seems happy. Let me know your experience with it.

I've had mine(fully spec'd) for only 2 weeks with Smoke Ext 1. I'm an experienced Flame user so wanted to put it through its paces. The only problem I'm having is with shadow casts on 3D text in Action. Even the simplest scene doesn't render them out. They are there until you hit render. MacOSX seems to put up a prompt intermittently; "There is a graphics problem". Everything else in the scene looks fine even HWAA at 8 samples. Turning the off makes no difference to shadows.

Just tested with and without the HWAA and no problem here. Flame Assist ext2

The only problem with HWAA so far has been particles.

Thanks for weighing in.

And the Interface itself is okay? I thought I read somewhere that the Menus, Buttons, and Onscreen Text looked crummy on the 5k?
