Programs?

Hi there, I'm looking for the best program for game design, I'd like to make a "role playing game". I've used Unity, and Blender 3D, making a few people.

 Also

(I'm hoping to go to the "Academy of Art University for Game design" Is this a good college for learning how to make games? I also heard that this school uses Maya?)   Thanks John.

Recap:

1. Good game program for "Role Playing Game"

2. Academy of art university good college?

(Couldn't use some words in this form, odd. FYI)

you should start game development by simple 2-D or 3-D games. Like Royal Starfighter - space wars

It's an honor to speak to a game design enthusiast.

Game design can have many positions. Here is a list, but it can get deeper.

Graphic Design, Level Design, Storyboarding, Animation, Programming, Writing, Advertisement, Funding / Accounting, Graphic Lighting, Visual Effects, Environment Design, History, Lead Designers, Content Designers, System Designers, Technical Designers, UI Designers, Senior Designers, Design Director, and more...

What are you into more?

Coding / Writing / Technical Design or Effects / Art / Graphic Designs

Now a days 3D games much appreciate rather than 2D. So try to make your games with latest version.
