Hi,
quite sure i'm not the only one annoyed buy this horrible warning messages when trying to exit fusion telling me that there's an upload in progress but not giving me any information about that progress. All you can do is try to quit again in a few seconds and see if the upload is finished yet. This has to change finally (we already talked about that over a year ago).
My suggestions:
- put a noticeable UI element somehwere in the status bar (the bar at the bottom of the window) that shows any file upload happening. This could be shown on every save process. it's just a transparent feature telling the user what's going on.
- Instead of putting up an "ok" warning message change this message like: "There are uploads going on, if you're in a hurry quitting Fusion360 just hit "quit now", if you want your files uploaded to the server and have them available on other computers or mobile devices wait a moment." with a progress bar showing the state of the upload (doesn't have to be too exact, just show that there's something going on and how far it is) and automatically close fusion after the upload is done if the user doesn't hit the "quit now" button before.
That is much better user experience and keeps us from trying a quit again and again. Especially for slower connections this should be very helpful.
Thanks!
