Once again I cannot use the grid because the area I NEED (to make sure the new sketch is lined up correctly)... is in a faded area!
I can't force it into a tighter grid, nor even see what grid is there!
Why you insist on making such a critical feature (the grid) fade out is beyond me... yes, it looks cool, but be reasonable.
It's NOT useful at all.
ANd it's been in EVERY VERSION... even in 123D!
Stop it! PLease!
I understand your pain.
The grid should update with the location of the cursor in Sketch so you will always have a grid visible. Is that not happening for you?
Also the grid should get tighter as you zoom in on an area. This is called Adaptive Snapping. If you want an fixed grid size use the Set Snap Value available from the menu at the bottom of the window.
If others have comments on the grid display please add them to this post.
Well, I can't test it anymore becauuse the new version is not working right...
... but NO, the cursor is NOT the focal point of (or center of) the grid. The answer is to KILL the FADE.
Why keep it? It is a defect and a problem, only that way for looks... are you worried about infinite grids? well why not make it fade further away?
This was in a TOP VIEW, so there NO EXCUSE fo fading out... it should be SOLID GRID in top/front/side views (thats what plan views DO).
ARGH!
OK, 360 "working" now... so I tried a few tests on this issue.
When I open the panel and set for a certain defined grid it works as expected.
When I chose "adaptive" it snaps to a largish value:
(some idiot changed the max import image to 333k... my MacAir's screen is 352k, and so I can't post screen shots without a bunch of fiddling... thanks)
But when I zoom in... it's the same size. Not adaptive.
I've seen 360 accomplish this in the past, but (for me) it is now broken again.
AAAAND it's working again. Must have been either been unupdated server issues, or more a problem of the "Product Usage Data"... I had a minor increase at the cafe where I switched it off (both boxes).
Now it runs quite smoothly.
On my MOBILE PHONE no less.
Wow! Strange program fixes in the Cloud world!
