Security

I can't find any information on security of uploaded files.

How long are the files on the Autodesk server? Freewheel labs allows me to see my uploaded files and delete them. But regular Freewheel does not have this functionality.

Is it secure by the shear length of the email links?

The files are guaranteed to be on the server for 30 days. But we rarely
delete them:

You are correct in that collaboration is a feature we are getting feedback
on via Project Freewheel.

The files are somewhat secure in that it is unlikely that anyone could ever
guess the URL. As you have noted by looking at the email, they are random
and long: http://dwf.blogs.com/beyond_the_paper/2006/10/project_freewhe.html

The URL’s have a cryptographically generated 160-bit random number. This
part makes the upload files very secure. The security does have big weakness
in that the URL’s are transmitted over http and in e-mail. This is something
the Freewheel team has been thinking about.
