Integrate FreeWheel on eyeOS

I'm not sure if it is here where I should post this.

I want to suggest to integrate Freewheel in eyeOS, eyeOS has an own VFS (virtual file system) and it would be great to release an app of eyeOS that was able to use Freewheel.

EyeOS is a WebOS, Webtop or whatever you want to call it, eyeOS seams like a real OS and works only with PHP and AJAX (no need for flash or java).

I'll hope to hear to someone soon about this, thanks for the time.

I don't have any direct experience with EyeOS (http://www.eyeos.com/). Since
Freewheel is based on AJAX, I think it should work. You could create an
iFrame and embed the reference in it.

I know I can create an iframe, but that won't let users use the eyeOS VFS. Inside eyeOS there's an app (eyenav) that allows to open sites in an iframe, so who wants to use it normally can just open it.

Are you asking for Freewheel to work with the eyeOS file system? At this
time Freewheel uploads (using a standard POST operation) and caches files on
the server. As long as you can upload to freewheel and the browser is
compatible with Freewheel, all the existing functionality should work.

Additionally, when a file is uploaded to freewheel, a unique ID is returned.
This key is used to render the file at a future date. You might be able to
write your own upload and the store links on your eyoOS VFS using the
returns ID. In theory, this would allow you to use Freewheel as you DWF
viewer. If you are interested in exploring this, I would be happy to give
you some guidance.
