Freewheel won't install in acad

When trying to install Freewheel for AutoCAD I get the message "You must run AutoCAD at least once under this used account".
I only use one account and run AutoCAD and Mech. every day.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Ron

You get that message when the installer can't find AutoCAD. Do you have an
English version of vanilla AutoCAD 2008?

Yes, I do.
I have the Inventor 2008 bundle installed under subscription.
I did a single user install without Vault.

My guess is that our installer is not smart enough to recognize an AutoCAD
installed by the Inventor bundle. The installer is looking for a particular
registry key that a regular AutoCAD puts there but not the bundle process. I
will make a note of this. Thanks for the feedback.

Hi all,

New member here with a query similar to the last one, regarding installing FreeWheel.

I am encountering a similar message when trying to install. I use AutoCad 2007..

I assume you are trying to install the 3D/2D ShareNow utility. Project
Freewheel itself does not need any install. You just use our server. Some
people have had the installer not recognize their AutoCAD if the installer
does not find a registry key it expects. This key is put there by the
AutoCAD installer. When these users have installed AutoCAD through some
other process, e.g. a bundled installer, the key is not present. We may make
the ShareNow installer more robust in the future.
