Embeded URL links within DWF

Does anyone know if Freewheel supports embedded URL links to other files like PDFs served on the web? We have it working fine within with the standard DWF viewer for windows inside IE7/IE8 where a person can click on an item we specified within our design then a new browser window will open the embedded URL/PDF file. I tried to load our exact file that is working already but the URL links are not working. Any thoughts?

As I mentioned in the other post today:

Thank you for contacting us. At this time Project Freewheel
(http://freewheel.labs.autodesk.com) only supports DWF and DWFx files.
Autodesk Freewheel (http://freewheel.autodesk.com) supports DWF files but is
about to be updated soon to also support DWFx.

The goal of Project Freewheel was to see if we could support 3D viewing on
the web. We did that. People then asked if we would make a version that they
could rely on, so we set up a set of servers in a 24/7 monitored environment
and deployed that same code there. Autdoesk Freewheel is a free product and
people can make use of it as they see fit. I agree that it is not a full
featured all-in-one viewing solution like some of the for-fee offerings of
our 3rd party partners.

Referring to anything Autodesk has released on the web as being "full
featured" is quite the chuckle as we are not ordinarily talking about any
great expectations although I do acknowledge from time to time somebody does
ask for some really advanced feature:

like being able to click a hyperlink.

I agree hyperlinks are not a hard feature. We had them in WHIP! in 1995. The
point is that Freewheel was an attempt to see if 3D data could be viewed
using a server-based approach. That was all. We learned what we wanted to
from it. Now we are working on Project Dragonfly and Project Showroom using
from what we learned on the Freewheel technology preview. When Dragonfly and
Showroom are done, we will see who has the last chuckle. 🙂

It's a pity as Freewheel is often cited as a solution for viewing DWF(x) on a Mac (which it isn't in my opinion), something Autodesk still won't support on this supposedly universal format

Well, SketchUp has become an embarassment for you guys so I know and agree
with what you are implying. More competitive choices will be good for end
users either way.

Adding markup to the MacDWF program has potential.
