Formit Import into Revit Not Working

I've tried on multiple files to import a Formit Sketch in Revit via the plug in tabs and nothing happens.  Differente Sketch files and different Revit Files.  Any ideas? See attached screencast.

Hi JNewberry,

Thanks for the screencast - very helpful.

We noticed your FormIt add-in for Revit has our old logo, and that tipped us off that you probably have an old version of the add-in installed.

Can you uninstall it and install the latest version for your version of Revit here: http://formit360.autodesk.com/page/download (scroll to the bottom).

We're working on an auto-updater or notification of update for the add-in, so this will be a bit more intuitive in the future.

Let us know if this resolves the issue.

Thanks,

This seems to have done it! I was still having issues with SKP models which were converted to AXM and then imported, but ungrouping it all seemed to resolve it.

Should have thought to check the version 😛

Thanks!

Josh.goldstein,

I am having the same issues with not being able to see any of my FormIt model when I imported it to Revit from FormIt.  Both FormIt Converter and Revit are 2016, my masses are checked on, and I used the link that you previously provided and I still cannot see anything show up.  On previous forums/blogs the tab to CONVERT FormIt to Revit was available in the directions, but mine says IMPORT FormIt to Revit.  Does that have anything to do with why I can't see anything?

I had the same problem and it came from loading a file with a path with accents (sorry I'm french 😉

Same problem too when trying to save a Formit file from Formit PRO on a file server : "error unable to save file".

I hope that Formit can be translated in French and have accent support !

f.muzard,

Thank you for notifying us of the problem.  We hope to have better international support in a future release.

I am still having this issue...

I believe my Formit Converter is up to date (is there a way to check?). It seems to import very simple models ok, but ones with slightly more complex geometry do not appear in Revit; still sans error message.

Any additional insight would be much appreciated!
