Searching your building database?

I'm just now delving into Facilities Manager and the Link. Can anyone tell
me if there's a good tool to search on the building database from the
Facility Manager (other than customizing Access)? I'm assuming that if I'm
using the Link to publish spacial data and UDF fields to capture other
building specific data that I could run queries such as: create a list of
buildings that have 5 bedrooms but are less than 2000 SF total. Will the
Dynamic Plan Views be the best way to approach this? Can the UDF fields be
part of this query?

Most of the existing search tool are space focused, i.e., show me all bedrooms? These can be filtered by building or floor. You can create reports that meet your specific needs.

Do you often find the need to search building specific information, rather than space specific?

Before you get too far down the road with your dataset, take note: UDF fields in FMD can be very difficult to report on.
