Autodesk University 2008 Papers

In case you haven't seen it elsewhere, the Call for Papers has gone out for Autodesk University 2008. The conference will be back in Las Vegas at the Venetian again. You can find all the information for paper submissions at this link:
http://au.autodesk.com/event/speaker_cfp/

There will probably be 11 or so sessions again in the FM Track. Regular contributors to this board and FMDesktop users should consider submiting a topic.

Last year, Jon Luby, FMDesktop consultant at Imaginit, had the highest rated session by a new speaker! Wouldn't it be great to see Melanie Perry pull that off this year? And sessions about the use of BIM for facilities management were the highest attended sessions within the FM Track. If you want to bounce an idea off someone, feel free to post an idea here for comments, or contact me or Brian Haines if you want to keep it quiet and get our opinion.

Good luck and feel free to submit multiple proposals.

Well, Mark, the word is out, so it looks like I'll have to wait one more
year before trying to follow in Jon's footsteps. 😉

Don't have too much fun without me. 😉

Well, congratulations are in order!
We will miss you at AU2008, but AU2009 is not so far away.
Good luck and continue to keep us all posted!

Mark,

That you very much. I'm a bit disappointed on the exact timing, since
this will be the first AU I've ever had to miss (since I've been old
enough to attend), but, we're pretty eager to have this little addition
to our family.
It seems just like yesterday, AU2004, when I finally met Mike face to
face. 😉 Who knew I would find love there of all places?

I sure will. 🙂

On another note, in early May I'm going to be presenting to the company
and our corporate overlords about my FMDesktop pilot here. ~fingers
crossed~ I manage to impress them with it.
Wish me luck.

REMINDER: The deadline for submitting proposals for AU2008 is coming up on April 27.

I expect that some people are waiting to the last minute, but as of now, we definitely need more proposals.

If you want any feedback on an idea prior to submitting it, feel free to contact me.
