Melanie,

It is commendable that you have compiled this list, but you left out the two most widely used FM products and it would be a disservice to not mention them:

ARCHIBUS/FM www.archibus.com
Tririga www.tririga.com

cafmboss, thanks for providing additional links... however, this wasn't
meant to be a complete list of products, just a few links that I'd saved in
my favorites. I did compile a list of FM products in another thread in this
forum, and I'm positive they were included in that one. šŸ˜‰

Melanie,

Pardon my ignorance, but I'm new to the support groups and get a bit confused with all the acronyms. Could you tell me what FM stands for please?

FM stands for Facilities Management, and it's got nothing to do with
ignorance, most people have no clue what FM stands for. šŸ˜‰

Now that good ol' Autodesk have acquired Applied Spatial and the FMDesktop product, how's about some links in the UK?

MASS Systems are the only UK reseller of FMDesktop, go to this link to see their FMD on their website:

sweet... and i'm sure good to know for the UK'ers.

I am wondering... do you think the other adesk resellers will start to take
on fmdesktop? or do you think they will stay separate for a goodly amount of
time due to specialization of the staff?

I am not sure what the state of play is yet but from a MASS Systems point of view it is excellent as Autodesk have the resource and testing capabilities to provide an extremely robust FM product which can only assist them in the competitive CAFM world out there!

According to the acquisition FAQs that were on the Applied Spatial (previous owners of FMDesktop) website, I think initially they are going to stick with existing resellers but i would imagine (IMHO) that eventually Autodesk will bring other resellers in to get the coverage they require.

Link for Applied Spatial/Autodesk acquisition FAQs is:

http://72.22.64.191/ACQFAQ.htm

This should clear the air for any FMDesktop resellers or customers!
