healthcare facilities management

hmm, just cruising around google and found this blog posting asking for
people who know anything about FM hospital metrics...

http://www.thehealthcareblog.com/the_health_care_blog/2005/08/hospitals_consu.html

A colleague of mine needs someone to help in a consulting gig his
organization is doing for a hospital facility management organization. They
need someone who understands hospital facility management to guide them in
figuring out what the key metrics are, what data the metrics come from, and
what the business impact of moving those metrics might be. If that's you or
you know someone who it might be, please email me.

i know nothing, but, on the off chance someone else did...

melanie,

you can call me at 425.246.1717 or email me at mmcdonald@aptidev.com. We're healthcare CAFM consultants and are very familiar with FM, business development and marketing metrics for hospitals.

Melanie,

After looking at his blog and website it’s apparent the gentleman probably has the capacity to find answers to his questions without you posting outdated material on professional websites. Next time you’re surfing the web try and read the dates of the material you’re looking at.

A better suggestion than wasting our time with issues that aren’t yours would be for you to contact the individual directly and suggest they visit this site. Then they can interact here in a concise and timely fashion.

Sarcasm directed at someone simply trying to help - help with what turns out to be outdated information that has nothing to do with you isn’t very classy or professional. Next time you look in the mirror roll your eyes at yourself!

wow... mark... first off.. have a sense of humour. secondly, you just gave
me the same advice I gave you. 🙂 I'm trying to start a conversation and an
exchange of information, not dredge up business for you.

you don't get it do you Ms. Melanie?

most of us are working! so two things! first we don't have time to waste on folks simply going about and mindlessly creating converstations. we already have plenty to do. generally we're nice folks and really like our professions so we're willing to answer legitimate questions. so stop wasting our time by pointing us to outdated requests that have nothing to do with you!

second, most of us are here because we make money using autodesk products not simply because we just want to have a converstation. so, that means our conversations are going to be related to money at least indirectly. we'll freely help others up to a point - if it turns out to be a big deal then we'd probably look into how we could set up a mutually rewarding relationship where - gasp - money would change hands.

no, I believe you're the one who doesn't get it, and you're *still* wasting
your time coming back here trying to convince me me how wrong I am. ~laughs~

quick summary:
you troll a newgroup...
you make a self-promotional post in reply to a message you didn't really
even read...
then get offended when I flame you for it...

oh, btw... I'm really having a good chuckle over this bit... "we'll freely
help others up to a point" because during this *entire* conversation, you
have not posted one iota of technical content?

this is a peer to peer support group, alright, not a job posting board!

look around the forum instead of just being a troll...
not a lot of discussion happens in here... so, when I find something that
even generally pertains to this field, I post it, hoping to spark a
discussion with my peers. sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

if you don't want to waste time with my 'mindless posts' I'd advise you to
try to drum up business on another site... or go over here where your
message really belonged.
http://discussion.autodesk.com/index2.jspa?categoryID=38

please observe the ground rules... #8 Post relevant advertisements and other
types of promotional messages only to the Classifieds discussion group.

so, my point is mark... that you're coming in here and flaming me for
wasting your time, when the only thing you've posted to this site is an
advertisement.

I don't know why I'm even bothering trying to attempt logic...

~shakes head and walks away chuckling~
