These are all of the FM specific courses, way better stuff than in the past,
and last year there was an industry meeting just for FM for the first time,
hopefully it will be bigger and better this year.

Check out the rest of the class offerings. I've been for the past four
years, and even when there hasn't been FM stuff of interest to me there is
enough general design, cad management, and standards management stuff to
keep me busy.

Drat...
I was looking forward to asking you what you thought of the expanded FM track, but you've already seen it and posted kind words!

It was a bit of work to get this many slots. (And I don't deserve the credit for it -- someone else did the tough negotiations.) But I think it will make for a rewarding conference for facility managers of all kinds.

I hope I get to see you there!

Just got my approval yesterday... 😉 he could hardly refuse since the
classes offered are right up my alley...

sooo... while you're here (realizing getting all these slots for such a
small discipline was a hassle)... I've selected classes for each time slot,
and couldn't help but notice that the first day there are 4 fm classes
offered in two times slots... why don't we just get wild and crazy (and try
to move heaven and earth) and reschedule FM11-2 and FM12-1 to run from
8-11:30 on Friday?

I don't want to miss any classes, and honestly, friday's class offerings
don't really interest me at all. pretty, pretty, pretty please...

Interesting... I hadn't noticed that the schedule changed from the earlier versions. I'm sure there were very good reasons for doubling up, and I doubt they will be changed. There are no slots on Friday. The conference closes on Thursday. But I will make sure the scheduling folks see your request.

D'oh, sorry, I meant thursday. 😉 ~sheepish~ I'm on past-au autopilot.

Thanks for passing my request along, I'll keep my fingers crossed but won't
hold my breath. 😉

Nice hearing from you again, Mark.

Alright, AU begins on Monday!

All 5 timeslots on Monday are FM-Geared classes!!! WOOT!

Tuesday morning as well... (for mapguide, which I don't have, but, would
still like
to learn about).
Tuesday afternoon is the FM industry session which I am looking forward
to...
There is also a mixer in the evening (way to make us feel special and a very
nice
guesture from autodesk)... which I won't be attending due to prior
obligations.

I've got 3 more FM classes on Wednesday, with the 'birds of a feather'
lunch,
erm, I suppose we're supposed to flock together or something.

Thursday, the classes are lame and I'm playing hooky...

Come up and say 'hi' to me there! I want to meet some FM people (that are
not trying to sell me something)!

I have introduced myself to a few FM'ers via the AU Connect website, way
cool
idea there deskers!!! and hope to run into them, and others during classes.

nevermind that...
The FM industry session (the first one was last year talking about the
development work autodesk is doing for Facilities Management) has been
folded back into the BSD (building solutions division). The hosts of the FM
session are listed as co-presenters in the BSD meeting. 😉

I do hope anyone who is going will be attending the FM mixer a little later
on that evening. I'm going to guess the presentation put on during that
mixer is the reason the industry session was folded back in with the rest.

Yes, sorry about that! It simply became impossible for Brian and I to do both the BSD Industry Session and the FM Industry Session at the same time.

And we added the Tuesday evening event in order to expand on what we covered in the BSD Industry Session.

Mark, Hello! Sorry I missed seeing you this year... your coworkers were
great though, had some fun with them. I'm sad that I wasn't able to make it
to the meeting that night, with some forewarning next year, though, I won't
miss it!

The FM track was pretty impressive this year, and I appreciate all of the
effort that must have gone into it behind the scenes.

oh, I see another post from you in here... 😉 I suppose I'll save most of my
comments for that thread.
