''Autodesk Flow Design has encountered a fatal exception''

Flow design stopped working and would generate a 'Fatal Exception' when the software tries to load. The following message appears on the screen:

''Autodesk Flow Design has encountered a fatal exception''

The software used to work before recent Windows update. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

It's not immediately clear what's going on here.

Have you rebooted since updating? Have you re-installed Flow Design?

Occasionally errors that appear immediately after launching the application are related to the graphics driver. Was the graphics driver updated?

Hi Jon,

Thanks for your suggestions.

The version that stopped working was Flow_Design_2014_English_WIN_64bit_R1_dlm.sfx.exe. I have tried to re-install the software, update drivers, etc. but without any luck. I could not understand why it had stopped working simultaneously on 2 different computers.

The solution was rather simple; I have download and installed a Flow_Design_2014_English_WIN_64bit_R3_dlm.sfx.exe version. Now even the Design Flow’s plugin for Revit is available and accessible form the top ribbon and everything works fine.

Regards,

Ras
