Black viewport (OSX)

Hi all
I have tried to install Flame training edition on a few different machines (OSX) - The result is the same. Everything seems to be working fine, no errors etc. But my viewport is black – I only see the watermark.

Any idea on how to fix this? I am using GeForce 650TI cards.

Kind regards,
/Samsoe

Hi,

The GeForce 650TI card is not part of the recommended hardware for Flame training.

Hence, we cannot certify that the application is going to work properly with this particular graphic board model.

At first glance, it seems that the graphic board is not powerful enough to load and display the selected clips within Flame.

Please let us know if you have any other questions,

Regards,

Yann

Hi,
After I changed the Framestore from ProRes (Default) to "Uncompressed" I am able to import jpeg images, render colored bars, noise etc. to the desktop, but I am not able to use/import ProRes – How is that?

Hi,

As mentioned in my previous message, we never ran any validation tests on that particular platform / hardware so we cannot confirm or invalidate any of the behaviors you experienced.

According to the info provided, it seems that your workstation cannot handle ProRes within Flame.

Can you please confirm that the same ProRes files can be read at the OS level?
