Visual Studio 2015 Support

Hi.

I work for a game company that uses the FBX SDK. Our coders are very interested in moving on to Visual Studio 2015 (released today.. some of it is general interest, some of it is technical requirements, etc..) and it seems the only dependency that's preventing us from doing so is FBX.

We've chatted about some thing's we could do, e.g. RPC or hiding it behind a c-lib. However, it's likely this is on the FBX team's radar.

Is it? If so, what kind of time scale is involved?

Thanks for reading,

-Derek

Hi Derek,

You can already get the FBX SDK for Visual Studio 2015 Release Candidate on the Beta forum https://beta.autodesk.com.

The version for the Release will be available soon.

I hope this helps!

Viviane

Hi Derek,

FBX SDK 2016.1 for Visual Studio 2015 is now available on the Beta site and on the FBX website.

It looks like

FBX SDK 2016.1 VS2015 (exe - 94224Kb)

was not built with VS2015. I had to downgrade the Platform Toolset to Visual Studio 2013 (v120) to get it to compile.

Hi Jamie,

We fixed the version for VS2015 on the Autodesk FBX website. Please let us know if it works for you!
