FBX SDK 2016.1.2 for Visual Studio 2015 is available on the Autodesk FBX website.

No, not really. libfbxsdkxxx.libs are incompatible to VS2015. I get the following error:

    LNK2038 mismatch detected for '_MSC_VER:' value '1700' doesn't match value '1900' in Common.obj

I would need to have VS 2012 to compile the code. Unfortunately, my lowest VS version is 2013 (Error: ...doesn't match value '1800').

I downloaded the SDK today, so it's not old and obsolete.

We've just tried the same configuration and we didn't reproduce your issue.

Could you tell us with which sample you try to build ?
