FDS 2017

Hi

In the last FDS (2014, 2015, and 2016), we could insert any type of units (mm, ft, in) in the Factory Properties dialog box.

In fds 2017, it's not possible..... why?????

Hi Sprocket107,
In 2017, the units in the property dialog are tied to the units of the document. If the document is using, for example, metric units, what's the workflow that would prompt you to enter "3 ft" as "length" of an asset?

Hi Mickey Li.

In any Inventor version in the past and in any Factory Design version in the past, we always could put any units in any field and Inventor did the units conversion.  We still can do this in Inventor 2017.

We can not do the same no more only in FDS 2017 ???

Why ????

This is a very serious issue.  Please fix.  You will always enter conveyor lengths in feet (usually with the arch ' symbol)  Inventor has always allowed you to enter any unit you desire.  You cannot change that practice at this point.
