Syncing to and from ACAD and Inventor is becoming very cumbersome. My drawings are not even that big. Is there any way that feature could use multi core processing? It's aggitating how much of my time is spent watching progress bars while my PC is only using 6-7% of its processing power. Also, when there are no changes to the drawing or only changing a single layer it seems to take just as long to sync as when I move every part in the drawing. I would love to see improvements in the syncing feature.
Hi there,
So far, FDS is not supporting the multi-core process.
Actually we did some enhancement to the sync workflow in FDS 2015 Update1.Idealy, the performance has been increased by around 20%.
Thanks,

even with the 20% increase in speed the syncing back and forth from inventor to acad is too cumbersome. I had to abandon the project and work strictly in AutoCAD for this project. I still create assets in Inventor and I place them from the library into ACAD but I gave up syncing back and forth as it was too time-consuming.
How many assets are in your layout?
thanks for your response again XuesongBai. How do I tell how many assets are in my layout?
Generally, you can get the number in Inventor status bar.
oh man. That is really a big layout already.
My sugesstion is that each layout that will be syncing should be range 500-1000.
So you need to split the top layout into several sub-layouts.And the sync them one by one. Totally the time of syncing will be reduced compared to sync the big layout together.
Attached in A360(http://a360.co/1qTfHn5) is the way of how to do that.
Thanks,

Thanks! This is extremely helpful! I will try this as soon as I get the chance.
