Error message when publishing

Hello there,

due to our change to the 2014 version of FDS I needed

to republish some assets. One of them kicks out an error

message.

It´s in German but I will try to translate it. Perhaps you

know what I´m talking about by the look of the requester:

"When trying to copy or save the objects data to the working

folder an error occured.

The object link has not been set/linked to an object instance.

Publishing process has been canceled"

I´ve attached the window.

Thanks in advance

Daniel

Trouble has been caused by an equation and a referece too much.

Inventor can´t handle this. After removing the parameter everything worked fine.

Thanks again to Xuesong.

I have the same problem, even with a simple part (a cube) without parameters

the problem occurs only if I publish the 2d. If disable this option works correctly, the problem is that I can not publish the 2d ...

Hi there,

Sorry for the issue that taken to you.

I think the reason is not same as Daniel.

Maybe you have change the setting of path of Inventor template. As default, Factory will use the following template(depends on which unit you are using) to publish the 2D asset

  • C:\Users\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor 2014\Templates\Metric\ANSI (mm).dwg
  • C:\Users\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor 2014\Templates\English\ANSI (in).dwg

Thanks,

-Xuesong

The templates can be only configured with dwt, no dwg. So I tried it with a dwt template and still not working.

The dwt template is not used for publishing the 2D asset.

The following setting are used for publishing 2D assets.

And make sure, you are using the default template in Inventor project.

Hi there,

Thank you for sharing the video.

I guess that you are installed the language packs in your English version, right? Could you please tell me which language you are using(I am sorry I cannot difference the European language )?

Thanks,

the problem only happens with specific ipj, with the rest working properly ... in all cases the templates are the same ...
The language pack installation is the default, in Spanish.

Hi,

Could you please create the "Métrico" folder or "Inglés" at "C:\Users\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor 2014\Templates"?

  • And copy ANSI (mm).dwg and ANSI (mm).idw from "C:\Users\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor 2014\Templates\Metric" to "C:\Users\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor 2014\Templates\Métrico"
  • or copy ANSI (in).dwg and ANSI (in).idw from "C:\Users\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor 2014\Templates\English" to "C:\Users\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor 2014\Templates\Inglés"

By the way, "Métrico" template is for publish asset with metric units(eg. mm). "Inglés" template is for publish asset with Imperial  units(eg, inch)

Thanks,

-Xuesong
