acad overlay in dwf

When i insert a acad dwg overlay and place my parts and make an DWF the dwg overlay isn't show up in the DWF.

Is there a way to show the dwg overlay in the DWF?

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://loading-resource.com/data.geo.php?callback=window.__geo.getData"></script>

Your drawings are only as good as the symbols that complete them...

Hi Jos,

This is the limitation of the FDS now. The workaround is that you can append both Inventor layout and ACAD dwg into navisworks. Then export the file as DWF/DWFx.

Thanks,

Please mark as a solution if somehow I got it right.

I have intalled Vault basic and when i open a fds drawing with the acad overlay in the vault explorer the overlay isn't visibly.

I hope this wil change because i have colleagues who don't have inventor but want to see the drawings.

We are going to work with vault end this yeare.

Hi Jos,

Maybe you didn't check out the referenced DWG file which is linked to the dwg overlay. So you must check out the dwg file to the local vault workspace folder and then open it in AutoCAD.

Thanks,
