2D Assets to 3D assets in AutoDesk Architecture

Hi

In FDS 2012 I was able to insert 3D assets into my drawing in Architecture. I was also able to change parameters and colours.

For some reason I cannot do this in FDS 2013. Is there a setting that I am missing?

Please help. I need it for a presentation.

Thanks

Anina

Hi Anina,

What type of the 3D assets are you inserting? Door, Window....?

Thanks,

Please mark as a solution if somehow I got it right.

Hi Anina,

Thank you for the update. Are you inserting the assets in AutoCAD or Inventor?

Hi XuesongBay

I am inserting the assets in AutoCad. I used to be able to change parameters as well, but now it only loads as 2D.

Hi Anina,

FDS always don't support inserting the 3D asset and parameter change in AutoCAD.

But you can insert the AutoCAD DWG file as overlay by Add DWG Overlay command in Inventor, and then you can insert the 3D assets and change the parameters in Factory properties Panel in Inventor.

Thanks,

-Xuesong
