A command like "reinit" to re-read the database files in an open session of AutoCAD would be great! Many times I make changes to Materials, Connectors etc that require my users to restart ACAD. It is frustration for the users as it interups their work to get the updated settings.
We have found in EST that even after hitting apply after making changes in the database we still need to restart the EST session for the change to be implemented. A bit hit & miss - inconsistent.
If done properly, this would also have other benefits like being able to switch DB Configs without restarting AutoCAD.
This can be done now in CAM/EST when using the Welcome Screen but that had the site effect of reloading the database with each MAJ so we turn that off on our installs.
