ESTmep is all about speed & accuracy. We need the ability to make Sub-Assemblies using multiple services (we can do this now), but also be able to choose which services will make up the various components. Perhaps initially making them, and then assigning a "Generic" name to the service...the specific name to be chosen later. For example, a Sub assembly for a sink, will have a Service for: Waste, Vent, Domestic Cold Water, & Domestic Hot Water. Depending on the Engineer, each of these services may be made with different materials &/or attachment methods. For example, is the Waste PVC? Cast Iron No-Hub? SS 316 Blucher? Or some other material? Is the DCW Copper Sweat? Copper Press Fit? Copper Push Joint? Pex? SS? Aquatherm? etc... Right now, we are needing to have multiple sub-assemblies, each containing the components of the various service possibilities, with multiple iterations of the other services using different materials &/or attachment methods. If we were able to make a Sub-Assembly, using a generic name for the services, and then choose the specific name when one takes-off the Sub-Assembly, it would work great. Kind of like the Swap-out feature, which runs off of Button Codes...
