Button Mapping

If you change the name of an .itm file, have it automatically update the button mapping to it, or atleast give us the option to have it done automatically. That way, we don't have to relink every button on our service templates for making a change that is as simple as renaming an item.

This can already be done....almost automatically.  You need a mapping file that lists the old path/name,new path/name.

Right click on the service in an open aread and you'll see a command for repairing button images.

The same mapping file can be used with the VIPS (Validate Item Paths) command to fix the path of ITM's already inserted in a drawing.

Can someone please assist with the following:

We are trying to set up our database so that when we do design to fabrication in Revit, standard length ducts and cut ducts are not the same fabrication part.

We have tried adding multiple buttons to our service template and locking their set lengths, this however has not worked. All of our ductwork is being converted to the standard coil duct in the fabrication in Revit.   Is there button mapping required to accomplish this? Please help.
