'Display Text' window' ?

Spoiler

What is the command to bring up the  'Display Text' window' for adding Additional Information

The (outdated) help file says

"Right click in Model Space and select CAD-Duct Solids BSS > List Setup to prompt the following dialogue"

however, that option has now been removed from the menu!

does anyone know?

Try ... RightClick>CADmep>Setup>List Setup

Is that what you are looking for?

I don't have 'setup' anywhere on my menu

I have been through every option the the 'right click' CADmep menu ... several times!

It allows you to add extra text info to items!

for example when you add a size of some ductwork by default you will get the basic info like....

500x200

with the added text you can get something like

500x200 General Extract

you can set what exta text to disply after the size ... HWSF or HWSR or BCWS etc

Im make adding fields to the list but Im not seeing additional information anywhere? Where does the additional information display. What do I search in the Help menu to read about the feature?

open the help file for 2014 and type annotation in the search field ... double click the work 'annotation' that appears in the left column, then scroll to the bottom of the page!

and click on 'Item pattern information'

I don't understand this either.  I clicked on an object, right click, but "Draw Info" (per the help file) isn't a choice.

Im seeing the same thing. I can edit the List Setup but Im not seeing option to apply it where the Help file says it should be. Im using 2014, perhaps its been moved?

What you see will vary with your AutoCAD "Right-Click Customization" settings.

If a normal right click doesn't work, try a shift right click.

As far as the "Draw Info" instructions from the help file, I agree that it seems to be old and no longer works with the software.

I would suggest that you use CTEXT instead.

It will provide everything that the List Setup & Draw Info would have provided plus it will be assocative.

If you want it to be non-assocative then use ADDREPORT.

I forgot to mention that the "List Setup" is still a valid feature.

The help file doesn't mention it, but the List Setup is used to modify what is available to to LISP in the objects 300 DXF codes.

Try this at the command line to see:

(entget(car(entsel)))
