Thermal Analysis of Open Areas

I am modelling creeper draped walls on the sides of a road and wish to study the temperature variations of Air in this semi enclosed space.


Please note:

1. I have defined the space as a zone using a void plane to enclose the region between the walls from the top.

2. The drape and the walls have been considered a part of the zone.


I am facing the following difficulties:

1. The temperature in this zone is coming out to be considerably higher(42 degree centigrade) than the expected value(average temperatures never exceed 35 degree centigrade). What could be the reason for this discrepancy. Is this because of the fact that it is an open region and proper enclosing of the zone is not done?

2. To study the temperature variation with distance from the walls, I defined void zones adjacent to the drapes. Ecotect displays an error saying "Zone has zero Volume". What could be the reason for this and solution?
