Problem wtih HVAC operational schedules

Hi there,

I'm trying to model an eco-friendly house using ecotect and I'm currently looking at the HVAC systems for the house.

The house is in a climate with hot summers and cool winters so I'm looking at using natural ventilation during the night time to cool spaces down.

I have set up an annual schedule so that the ventilation can be off in the winter and on in the summer. However, when I go to the Zone Management Tab, Thermal Properties the drop down box for Operational Schedule doesn't contain my entry. Also the words under "Operational profile" are greyed out.

Does anybody know what this means and how I can set up an annual schedule for ventilation? Thank you very much for your help!

Not sure about this one, but you can always run separate simulations to study the heat and cooling seasons independantly.  The cooling season could be run with natural ventilation, and you can then compile the results in excell.
