Hi, I am trying to simulate a simple ecotect model but I encountered problem importing geometry from sketchup into Ecotect. I have a simple rectilinear room with window openings on the sides. However, the surfaces along the openings are triangulated in Ecotect after importing.
I have already simplified and switched on the automatic remove triangulation on ecotect import option. It does not work by "Modify -> Merge Coincident Triangles" option too.
Attached is a screenshot of the problem encountered.
So my question is:
1. Is it possible to eliminate these triangulation? currently i have tried .3ds and .dxf. None of them work. I heard that .gbxml works?
2. Otherwise, what is the easiest way of importing a geometry into Ecotect? say if I have a curvy shading devices for example. Possible to avoid drawing everything from scratch in Ecotect?
Hope someone could help me out there.
Thanks a lot and much appreciated!
Necesariamente tienes q redibujar con herramientas del ecotec para calculos termicos y acusticos, si es para estudio de sombras y reflejos en visulizacion no aparecera.
