ecotect queries

HI,

My firm is exploring the Ecotect 2011and we are having some issues with the analysis. Here are the queries:

Shading analysis:

While trying to design the shading devices through shading design wizard, I get a message saying 'Object normal faces away from sun. Reverse it's normal?' which either gives a distorted shape or a profile in the interior of the space. It would be helpful if I could get a step by step procedure how to design shading devices.

Weather data:

The project is located in Palm Beach County. Should I be uploading the west palm beach file from E+ weather files or Miami, FL (already integrated in the Ecotect system) good enough?

Daylight Analysis:

I run the Radiance in ecotect to get the percentage contours. Once I get the gradient on the analysis grid, I hide the nodes above 500 fc to measure the area between 25 fc - 500 fc. (LEED credit 8.1) The analysis grid that is displayed for the selected objects does not touch the edges of the room, should that area be ignored?
