Creating New Material via script

Andrew,

I'm needing to add a number of cameras to ecotect via a script.

I need each camera to have different horizontal angles and vertical angles.

The problem I'm finding is that it is impossible to to create a new material
via script.

how can I create a new material in script? Do you have a work-around?

I can create a new camera object, but not new material.
