Lock nHair to initial pose when animating turntable?

This should be very a common question.

I have a model with nhair attached.  And I need to rotate the model as turntable.  However the nhair system is running dynamics while the head is rotating.

In the hair system settings.  I already crank up start curve attract to 1, disabled all collisions. turn up all resistance.  But as I play back the render.  the first and 2nd frame of the animation still popped.  It is like the dynamic is still running but it is trying to resist and stay at the initial pose as my setting suggest.

How can I turn off dynamic all together for rendering turntable purposes?

A quick and dirty way would be to uncheck "enable" on the nucleus attribute tab, then grab both the hair and the model and set keys for rotation...

I'm guessing you did a "set start position from current" once you got the hair in the position you wanted it...

OMG it works. lol I can even parent nucleus it to the animated locator too 😄

Thank you

Wait - I just discovered an even easier way...go to the hairSystemShape node, and set the simulation method to "static."

(I had a feeling there was a quicker method...)
