Hi.
I'm using Maya 2014 using nDynamics.
I have an object that has a cable connected to it and need to animate it 'hopping' across a surface and then up and into a glass of water. The cable has dynamic constraints attaching it to the main object and also to a USB connector at the other end (not important here I don't think).
When the object is up and tilting downward, the cable develops a kink in the geometry at the last link in the constraint (see attached screen grab below) making it to appear hard-edged.
My first thought was not enough geometry in the cable but upon rebuilding and trying again, the same thing happens...just creates a smaller length kink.
It's fine until it gets to the point just as it starts to move downward for the dunk (see below)and deforms quickly after that point.
Is there something I'm missing that would soften the last spring segment on the constraint so the geometry doesn't bend so harshly?
Settings for the constraint below.
Thank you for any thoughts.
