BiFrost largely unusable. See if you can fix this...

See attached .mov and .mb file. Not trying to re-create Jurassic Park here. Maya gets more unintuitive and difficult to use with each release. Their tech support is non-existent too. I'm running Maya 2015 on a new, MAC - 2.7 GHz 12-Core Intel Xeon ES with 64 GB 1867 MHz DDR3 RAM, yet this file nearly freezes my machine. Thanks, BG

Hello,

Thank you for posting to The Area forums.

I wasn't able to take a look at the attachments as I don't see them posted. If I am not mistaken the forum doesn't support Maya extensions so it is best to attach a zip of your files.

Once I see the files on here I will take a look and provide more inforamtion\suggestions.

Cheers,

David Santos

Hi David,

I reposted this question with the .zip file attached.  It's the next topic on the forum.  I did get a response from the Autodesk support team.  Here it is:  "Try this to fix the issue, try this:

Select the "_pool_geo" model from the viewport and ctrl+d to duplicate it.
Then delete the original not the duplicated element.
Set the new element as a collider to the Bifrost volume.

That seems to work for me.  Let us know if this helps.

Best regards,

Manny Papamanos
Autodesk Support Team"

This worked, so they closed the case.  Thanks for looking into this!
