I know this is located in other locations but I can't seem to make it work with my block.
I would like the cross and the text N to rotate independantly of the arrow while the N stays with the thick line. That's the easy part. How can I make the N move along the rotation path and keep the text aligned horizontally? I read something about linked action and move, but I can't make it work. Any suggestions? Thank you.
Chained point parameter with a move action is the solution.
Check under Vis-state "North"
Edit: To clear it up abit, under properties on a parameter you have under "misc" something called "chain actions".
Means that you can attach actions of sort just as before, but you can also effect the actions linked to the parameter by using another parameter-action to effect the chained parameter.
In this case you use the rotate parameter to move the chained-point parameter in an angle. Moving the chained-point parameter also moves the "N" because of the move-action attached to the chained-point parameter.
Thank you.
I'll have to play a bit more with chain actions to get a better grasp but thank you for the example and explanation.
Much appreciated.
Hello,
I am having difficulty with my dynamic block I would like to know if you can help me. I am trying to keep my text aligned when I rotate my block 180 and 270. How do I do this?
Thank you.

P.S. sorry, but I can't post .dwg file, I don't know why

Thank you so much, it is exactly what I need it. I just got to figure out what you did because I have to make other blocks with the same functionality, If you have a chance to explain it, it will much appreciated thanks again.

hi
may be You ask what You don't understand
in short I use chained point parameter with move action, rotate parameter and double lookup
Regards
Juris
in this topic You can read, how to create double lookup
http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Dynamic-Blocks/Stretch-Flip-Stretch/td-p/3401071
Juris,
I cannot get the double look up to work. I did the stpes on the link however when I insert the look parameter sets only one lookup is shown. Would you please explain more on this.
Regards,
H.
Juris,
Does this work in AutoCAD LT 2012? Becuase I cannot use the lookup action in the lookup parameter set after changing the bactionbarmode to zero ( I am able to see the double lookup in under lookup1 see attached ).
Thanks,
H
hi!
I don't know about LT, but I think it must work
What You mean, that it not working
When You select one of lookup action, in properties window You can select lookup table and then work with this table
After that You can select the other lookup action ...
