Room Tag - Dynamic Block

Hi,

Ive been trying to create a dynamic block for room tags. The goal is that when walls stretch or move around id want the tag to update the room dimension accordingly. Instead of renumbering the text id like for this tag to have attributes to link to the wall obviously in a def points layer and as we stretched the wall the texts would update to the new length and/or width.

Is this something out of the ordinary or can this be achieved?

Use a Text Field, as I have done in the attached.

Place dimensions in the block and include them in the selection set for the stretch actions.  

Insert a text. 

When editing the text, right click and select "insert field."

In the Field dialog box, select Object.  

For Object Type, click the crosshair, then select the dimension.  

For Property, select Measurement.

Dial in your desired format and precision.

Click OK.

The text field will update automatically every time the drawing is plotted, regenerated, or saved.
