I know that this has been discussed a number of times, which is one of the reasons why I thought it might be an idea to have a common thread.
I have been asked to produce a certain dynblock and it must have move and stretch orthogonaly.
I've quickly put together an example, but I'm wondering if anyone has any less clunky methods???
They also want it to 'snap' to the zero projections.... I've said that isn't possible.
a good tip is that with 2 linear parameters you can stack the grip on top of each other to create the same function as a move or polar grip, being able to move the grip (grips) around as you please without having to control 2 separate grips.
All you need to do is have the horizontal stretch action include the linear parameter and line for the vertical stretch and vice versa.
See block for example
