Lighting Strip (array and stretch parameter)

Hi,

I am trying to make a dynamic block for a fluorescent strip (cove lighting).

I would like the fitting to be able to stretch along the length of the cove but only have a maximum distance of 1200mm for each fitting and the fitting can come in sections off 600or1200 to allow for spacing. I would like the fitting to start off at 600 then stretch to 1200 then once it stretches further then 1200 to then stretch to 1800 (1200 + 600) and so on 2400mm (1200,1200).

In real life the fittings are actually installed with a 50mm overlap between the fittings to provide constiant lighting as the end of the light tubes do not produce electric light. If anyone has any suggestions how to achieve this even if its just for the stretch and array without the 50mm overlap please help! 🙂

I have attached an example of what i am talking about.

Thank you!

Is this what you are wanting?

This is great, thank you ! I may need to change it to LED now as fluorescent isn't as used anymore so the spacings will shrink to 100mm but I should be able to work that out.

Thank you again.
