Independent Visibilities

I fear that this question may be in vain. What I want to do is have two or more visiblies/lookup within the same block working independently of one another but also together to form one block. When I say independently I more-so mean that I want Lookup tap A to effect, let say, text locations and Lookup tab B to effect, lets say, the symbols with in the block. Although tab A and tab B have everything to do with one another they would need to be separated or the combination list would be too great. What I'm trying to apply this to is a weld symbol. First, can this be done and if so how? Two, does anyone know a better option?

My initial thought is yes, depending of course, on what specifics you want to accomplish. It is difficult to say whether or not it is possible and if there is an easier way to do this without knowing more of the block and how it functions. Are you familiar with lookup tables?

Hi,

you can only have 1 VISSTATE in a block,
but you can access a VISSTATE in a lookuptable.
So VISSTATE 1-3 in 1 lookuptable and VISSTATE 4-6 in the second.

However: you talk about textlocation: you don't need a VISSTATE to move objects.

And a warning: If you create it the way you describe you probably get 1 lookup to say the correct thing, the other one will/can jump to custom.
This is not really bad but you want to prevent this from happening.

Good point. you can add position parameter with viz
states in your lookup table: You can have as many lookups as desired but
remember at some point another user has to use your block and or edit it so plan
it out

I am also trying to make a dynamic weld symbol, and ran into the same problem. Being able to have multiple lookups in a block would optimal but of course no go. I'll be following this thread and if I figure out a solution I'll let you know.
