how to get a stretch to remain centered and stretch both way from a midpoint

How do I get a stretch to work from a midpoint so that both ends stretch when either end grip is manipulated?

I read that you can change the Base Location to midpoint in the Block Editor which I've done, but it still stretches from one end.

You must put stretch actions in both sides, not just one

Not sure if this is what you wanted? But this simple stretch combo has helped me a lot. Keeps line centered while stretching both sides.
