I am trying to find a way to apply a stretch function to a block which contains a text box. Is there any way to as the block is stretched, have the text reflect the final width of the block?
Yes, a Field can do this. You will need to REGEN to update the Field. The Field should be able to be embedded in the Text Box. Multiline correct?
Or the simpler solution as attached.
Use BlockPlaceHolder, I believe, and map this to the information you want.
Some have used a Dimension string on a no-plot layer before to accomplish this.
Or a Dimension string with the Dimension and Extention lines suppressed should work nicely. This would have the added benefit of not needing a second Stretch with a muliplier of .5 to keep it in the middle, if that is what you want.
(I'd show you but alas my LT 2008 does not have Field functionality)
